Finding Purpose in the Seasons You Never Wanted
There are experiences we wish never happened.
The divorce. The betrayal. The diagnosis. The disappointment.
Pain often leaves us asking one question:
“Why?”
While we may not always receive a complete answer, Scripture consistently shows us something powerful:
Pain Can Become Purpose
Throughout the Bible, God used painful seasons to accomplish meaningful work.
Joseph’s suffering prepared him to save a nation.
David’s wilderness prepared him to lead.
Paul’s hardships shaped his ministry.
Pain was not the final chapter.
What God Can Produce Through Difficult Seasons
When surrendered to God, suffering can develop:
- Greater compassion for others
- Deeper dependence on God
- Increased resilience
- Spiritual maturity
- A testimony that encourages others
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 reminds us that God comforts us so we can comfort others.
Your Story Isn’t Finished
The painful chapter you’re in today doesn’t have to define your future.
God specializes in redemption.
He restores. He rebuilds. He renews.
The very thing that wounded you may someday become part of someone else’s healing.
Grace for the moment… He’s still working.
