Anger Management

Going with the flow

You’re cruising down the left-hand lane of I-35, minding your own business, just jammin’ to the radio and moving along with the flow of traffic.

Suddenly, you come upon a vehicle impeding the flow of traffic.

“Why don’t they just get in the slow lane, where they belong?!?!?!?!?” you think.

You angrily honk your horn several times and then pass them while glancing at the driver with disgust.

Taking things in stride

From the moment you woke up, your day has been one long parade of frustration. Nothing’s gone right.

“One more thing,” you think. “Just one more thing, and I’m going to explode.”

Overreact? You? Never! (Exit hapless victim who doesn’t dare speak to you for two days.)

Flirting with danger

But maybe your bouts with anger are more severe than this. Perhaps they lead to acting out in more destructive ways.

You have come to this point because you’re genuinely concerned about how fits of rage control you.

You know the conflict, the guilt that follows another over-the-top response.

There is even negative self-talk that bombards you with doubts about your walk with Christ.

Overcoming the cycle

Uncontrolled anger can cost you the trust of loved ones and friends. And you may need some help with how to respond appropriately to events that tend to trigger you.

You don’t want it to spiral out of control any longer.

But I‘m here to tell you, friend, that anger does not have to get the best of you.

As a believer in Christ, you are a new creation.

If your anger’s gotten out of control, you have come to the right place.
