Counseling for Men of Color

You never asked for this.

The pain. The anxiety. The depression. The anger. The frustration.

Have you lost direction? Feel like you’re not where or who you want to be? Turned to a false God to cope?

I see you, man. I know what it’s like.

Spent several decades as a broken man held hostage by my past. Blaming others. Not taking responsibility for my part.

And then, a faith-building encounter with a therapist of color set me on a path that I currently walk today. One full of purpose and passion and hope for my future.

You may find yourself on a path you didn’t ask to be traveling. I’m sorry. I want to help lead you down a different road.

You are one step closer –

To where you want to be. That’s why you showed up here.

Hey, brother man. Welcome to my page exclusively devoted to issues black men face.

Especially black men of faith.

You may have doubts about mixing faith and mental health. Just another thing to add to the muddy waters of mental health stigma in our community.

Well, let me shed light on the subject. We can trace our faith and struggles to our dark days of slavery.

We’ve always looked to God.

Back then, our problems were never separated from our faith journey. God was always our deliverer and source of strength.

It’s time to put faith back into the game when it comes to navigating depression, anxiety, addiction, and anger. You trust God with other plans and outcomes of your life.

Why not now?

Why not with the very problems that leave you feeling less than what He intended for you?

No other practice in the Austin metro area offers a counseling approach that incorporates the power of the God you believe in to bring healing – not only to your pain but also your soul.

You are meant to connect your faith to your experience!

What kind of pain are you not facing? Where is it leading you? Think of the destination for a moment. Is that really where you want to be?

Have you turned to a little god to cope? Bruh, it doesn’t have to be like that.

You can still rise above the ashes of disappointment and despair.

I’m glad we’ve found each other. My passion is to serve men of color and erase the stigma.

Rewrite your narrative. Be who you’re meant to be.

This is your life – your story. You can tell it the way you want – NOT defined by the culture, but by Christ and His Word.

Welcome home, brother. Let’s get to work! (512) 256-9236.
